Parallel Events

Complement your memorable experiences at IUCN Congress in Hawaii and visit one of many Parallel Events organized around the themes of this year’s meeting. Visit Maui and Molokai Islands and learn about sustainable agriculture or welcome a quartet of vaka sailing into Waikiki. Whatever you choose, a short adventure that is just a little out of the ordinary is moments away.

Parallel Events are organized independently of the IUCN Congress, but are linked to the purpose of the Congress meeting. For more information about any of these events, including dates, times and locations, please contact the individual hosts via the event websites.

Hanohano Helumoa
A special Hawaiian cultural and historical presentation for all Congress Delegates and their families.
Royal Hawaiian Center

Helumoa is the historic land upon which the Royal Hawaiian Center now stands. Learn about its significance as a seat of government, a royal residence, and as a legacy for Hawaiian youth.

7:00am-7:30am on September 5^th, 6^th, 7^th, and 9^th.

Waikiki Sunrise Walking Tours
We are pleased to present all conference attendees and their families the opportunity to immerse themselves in the history and culture of historic Waikiki.
